Terms of Service

The short version: buy the kit for your own family, supervise your kid, use our local info as a helpful starting point rather than professional advice, and be kind. The longer version is below.

LAST UPDATED: JULY 19, 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

"Earn Your Patch," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of earnyourpatch.com. These Terms of Service apply whenever you visit earnyourpatch.com, use the Launch Plan preview, or purchase one of our printable kits. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the site. You can reach us any time at hello@earnyourpatch.com.

2. The product

Our kits are digital, printable PDF files delivered by email after purchase. Nothing physical ships. A purchase includes the kit files in the offered paper sizes and, where available, a Launch Plan compiled for the town you provide at checkout. Delivery is typically within minutes; if an email doesn't arrive, check spam and then contact us and we will make sure you get your files.

3. Your license

When you buy a kit, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and print the files for use by your own household, or by a single classroom or youth group you personally lead. You may print as many copies as that use requires.

You may not resell, redistribute, publicly post, or share the files or printed kits commercially; use them to create competing products; or remove branding from them. The kits, the Earn Your Patch name, the Patch character, and all artwork and text are our intellectual property and remain ours.

4. Kids, supervision, and safety

Our kits are designed for children ages 6 to 12 working with a supervising adult. You, the purchasing parent or guardian, are responsible for supervising the activity at all times and for deciding what is safe and appropriate for your child and your location. Running a real stand involves real-world considerations — food hygiene, weather, traffic, money handling, and interacting with strangers — and you assume responsibility for managing them. The kits teach business and money concepts through play and practice; they are educational materials, not childcare, and never a substitute for adult judgment.

5. Local information is a starting point, not advice

The Launch Plan and pages on this site include information generated from third-party sources: mapping data (including OpenStreetMap and Geoapify), weather forecasts (Open-Meteo), and publicly reported information about state laws on kid-run stands. This information can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong, and laws vary by city, county, and HOA. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, or tax advice. Always confirm your own local rules before opening a stand. Weather is weather; forecasts change.

6. No earnings promises

Any figures on this site — example profits, break-even estimates, cups sold — are illustrations, not guarantees. Whether a stand makes money depends on things we don't control, like your location, weather, and how the day goes. Expect a lesson; treat profit as a bonus.

7. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Prices are shown in US dollars. Local taxes may apply depending on your location. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy — in short, a 14-day money-back guarantee.

8. Acceptable use of the site

Don't abuse the site or its APIs: no scraping at volume, no attempting to disrupt the service, no using the Launch Plan preview for anything other than previewing a plan. We may block traffic that degrades the service for families using it as intended.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same maximum extent, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the site or products is limited to the amount you paid us for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing affects statutory rights you hold as a consumer in your place of residence.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the "last updated" date above will change when we do. Material changes apply to purchases made after the change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms: hello@earnyourpatch.com.

These terms are written in plain language on purpose. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
